Beyond the Surface: A Space for Real Connection

For High School Girls & Non-Binary Youth

A Weekly Connection Group

You know your daughter or teen better than anyone. You've watched them navigate the exhausting performance of high school — the shifting friend groups, the pressure to always be "on," and the quiet weight of trying to meet everyone else's expectations. And maybe you've noticed that beneath all of it, they're still searching for a place where they can just be.

High school is a lot. When the social world feels hard to read, and your teen is already working overtime just to feel understood, the emotional toll can run deep. It can feel heavy and isolating.

That's exactly what this group was created for.

Beyond the Surface is a small, professionally facilitated weekly group designed to give high school girls and non-binary teens a genuine place to exhale — to connect with peers who get it, build real friendships, and develop the social-emotional tools to navigate teen life with more confidence and less isolation.

What Your Teen Will Experience

  • A Safe Space to Explore Identity — Your teen will have room to discover who they are outside of the labels and expectations of school and social media, in an environment free of judgment.

  • The Relief of Being Understood — Rather than performing or masking, your teen can practice simply being themselves among peers who share similar experiences.

  • Real Support for Real Challenges — From shifting friendships to boundary-setting to managing the emotional weight of a long school day, the group tackles the "unspoken" hard stuff together.

  • A Reliable Peer Community — Your teen will build genuine connections with others who can offer empathy and perspective when things feel overwhelming.

This group moves past surface-level coping tips to focus on what your teen actually needs: authentic connection, collaborative problem-solving, and a circle of peers who appreciate them exactly as they are.

Why Join?

As a parent, you want your teen to feel less alone — and you want support that actually meets them where they are. This group moves past surface-level coping tips to focus on what your teen actually needs: authentic connection, collaborative problem-solving, and a circle of peers who appreciate them exactly as they are.

The group is kept small and intentional, facilitated by Rachael Ostrowski, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in working with teens. It's not therapy — it's something teens often find even more powerful: the experience of belonging.
